Testing Sustainable Financing for Conservation in the Greater Mekong

Posted on 30 March 2015

The Carbon and Biodiversity (CarBi) programme is using payments for forest ecosystem services to protect forests in the Central Annamite Mountains.
As part of the regional focus on creating a green economy, WWF-Greater Mekong is sharing a series of case studies showing how sustainable fincancing for conservation is working on the ground.

In this case study, we share how the Carbon and Biodiversity (CarBi) programme uses payments for forest ecosystem services (PFES) to tackle the drivers of forest loss in the Central Annamite Mountains in Laos and Vietnam.
