Experiences and good practices in biodiversity conservation and wildlife protection of society organizations and community-based organizations in Viet Nam

Posted on 14 April 2025

Viet Nam, known for its rich ecosystems and diverse climate, is recognized as one of the most biodiversecountries in the world.
In this context, the role of civil society organizations (CSOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) is increasingly emphasized as key contributors to protecting and sustainably managing these valuable biological resources.

The document “Experiences and Good Practices in Biodiversity Conservation and Wildlife Protection by CSOs and CBOs in Viet Nam” compiles and shares effective approaches and lessons learned from CSOs and CBOs in biodiversity conservation and wildlife protection. Its primary aims are to help these organizations enhance their effectiveness, from resource mobilization to applying science and technology for species and ecosystem conservation. Furthermore, the document supports capacity building for staff in the field and fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing among CSOs and CBOs to build a strong, sustainable network. This document also provides practical information for policymakers and researchers to inform decision-making and encourage active community participation in nature conservation.
